Open Call for Dancers/Movers: Meany Center for the Performing Arts

Meany Center for the Performing Arts and vertical dance company BANDALOOP are seeking volunteer dancers/artistic movers to perform as part of a movement chorus, transitioning audiences between the exterior and interior of Meany Hall, and connecting scenes of Harboring with pedestrian and dance movement.

Be part of a BANDALOOP performance and experience the production from the inside while contributing artistically as a performer!

Movement chorus performers must be available for all rehearsals and performances, schedule is subject to change but students’ class schedules will be considered:

First rehearsal/meeting:
Wednesday, September 27 at 6:30-8:00pm in the UW Dance Program (Meany Hall)

Second rehearsal:
Friday, September 29 at 6:30-8pm in Meany Hall lobby

Third rehearsal:
Saturday, September 30 at 9:30am-noon in Meany Hall lobby

Technical rehearsal:
Tuesday, October 3 in the evening
(call time TBD, Meany Hall)

Dress rehearsal:
Wednesday, October 4 at 6pm in Meany Hall

Performances:
Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 5, 6, 7 at 8pm
(you will be called at 6:00pm)

We are seeking a diversity of performers in all aspects including age (12 through Sr.), size, ethnicity and gender.

PLEASE SUBMIT INDICATIONS OF INTEREST BY SEPT 15.
Performers will receive a limited number of complimentary and discounted tickets for family and friends.

(Student and community dancers will be dancing on land)
